I just figured out how to use my blog!
First of all that title is not misleading at all. Here’s why, there are so many things I like to indulge myself in and STYLING just happens to be the one I do most of the time. But that doesn't mean I have to hide or ignore the other little things I find a lot of pleasure doing. Which is why in today's segment I will be sharing corners of my room that give me so much satisfaction that it can't be explained, EVER!
Now as a creative, 😂actually as a human being with a mind of her own, I take a lot pictures and I find it very hard to delete said pictures, whether they're perfect or not. Which brings me to today's post. I took pictures of my room and the corners that bring me joy when I unexpectedly need it. Of course I posted them to my instagram page, but somehow I still haven't been able to delete them from my camera roll. It's like I need that double assurance that I still have them, no matter what. Crazy right. My mind is like a unique labyrinth that I may never be able to find my way out of. So why not use it to my own advantage?
FIRST CORNER
Starting with the corner beside the window, just above the bed I lie on, I have hung on display two artworks I painted over a year ago and a poster of the Van Gogh “Café Terrace At Night” painting, gifted to me by my date who took me to see the exhibition. Last but not least on that corner is my crucifix. As a devout catholic who grew up in a catholic home the habit of carrying a crucifix every you go has definitely stuck with me, and I am very thankful for that. I like to think that on this corner of my room I have the things that are very dear to me and have a very low chance of falling on me and eventually killing me in my sleep.
SECOND CORNER
In this corner is the desk I never study on. Of course it's supposed to be my study corner, but the chair is uncomfortable as hell and the desk is just a bit small for my liking. Sometimes I study on it, but most times, especially during the summer time, I use it as a display table as seen in the picture above. Everything displayed here doesn't have a space on my shelf yet. So, until I get that sorted out they will be taking solace from my reading desk.
THIRD CORNER
The corner with the second bunch of dead flowers, the shoes and the bags on the wall. So pleasing to the eyes 😍. Sometimes I just stop and stare at this corner for a good 5 minutes, and then it's over cause my ADHD “COULD NEVER!”
FOURTH CORNER
And last but not least the corner with the shelf, the beach hats, the umbrella and the other bags. The aim is to have a collection of books, which includes magazines, novels and fashion books, and a collection of unique sunglasses before the age of 25. So far so good 😌.
I have to say I did have fun writing this.
TILL NEXT TIME ✌🏽.
