Market Slippers.

The Daily Stylish. Entry 1

The History (just a little tale).

Pinterest collages has ignited my creativity again, and this is how it all started. I love capturing moments -as cringe as that sounds that is the best phrase for it- But yes I love capturing bits and pieces of life, be it among strangers or family members I will be taking pictures and videos. So, this summer rather than spend my time on instagram I switched to Cosmos and Pinterest but mostly the latter, and dragged my little sister into it as well. I posted my favourite moments from the summer of 2025 and spent more time than I would like to admit scrolling and reminiscing on them. In the midst of this some collages popped up and I was immediately reminded of the not-so-new Pinterest collage feature that I completely disregarded when it was initially released. This, was part of a series of events that led to the resumption of my styling boards.

tale continues.

I spent majority of my weekends this past summer visiting the farmers market, precisely St. Norbert Farmers Market, I wore a pair of slippers every visit and I oddly enjoyed the feeling of warmth mixed with dust that filled the area. Visiting the market religiously got me thinking about “MARKET LOOKS” -whatever that means-

Because I was constantly looking forward to visiting the market, I was simultaneously thinking about looks specifically for the market. Now I love to incorporate my Nigerian nature into everything I do especially when it comes to what I wear, so of course there was a certain vibe I wanted and it had to have a non-western feel to parts of it if not all. Well, I began to think about making style boards for the looks I would conjure up in my head, and that’s when Pinterest collages reappeared into my life. With time I started creating again, and I started with building style boards for what I would like to wear to the market, irregardless of whether I would wear them or not.

The Looks.

I set the scene for these looks at the beach during sunset, this was just because I didn't see much of the beach this summer and I really wanted to use a new approach for these boards.
