FRESH OFF THE RUNWAY...TO YOUR SCHOOL HALLWAY.

In our society, not that you may care, the main reason for having a runway show months before the actual season the clothes are meant to be worn, is to set “THE TONE” for the upcoming season, beforehand.

Which is why this week on THE DAILY STYLISH I will be commencing the first of my autumn 2022 weekly look-books, but obviously without the concept of it being months beforehand🙂.

To start off, I decided to style 3 sweaters from a RAF SIMMONS spring show from 2017 for my first looks. After seeing the sweaters and how they were styled from that period, I.e. year, I really wanted to try putting the sweaters with pieces I believe they would be worn with in this current timeframe, or whatever.

-While creating these looks I definitely had the idea of wearing them to attend classes in mind, not that it matters, just thought you should know that these looks are “SCHOOL FRIENDLY.” Straight from the fashion runway to your school hallway-

Outfit 1.

While creating these looks I definitely had the idea of wearing them to attend classes in mind, not that it matters, just thought you should know that these looks are “SCHOOL FRIENDLY.” Straight from the fashion runway to your class hallway. Of course my first look has to be with a skirt, because I’ve had a constant weird desire to just wear a skirt whenever I have to go out, despite not being fully acclimatized to the so-called autumn season here in Winnipeg.

So we have 3 good baggy cardigans and for this first outfit, as mentioned, I went for a skirt. This one's even called a “BALLOON" skirt, nice right? So we have baggy cardigan, styled with a balloon skirt that goes with the “baggy” effect, then to kind of pull the baggy to the centre of the earth I added a pair of slim calf-length socks and a pair of mule loafers or loafer mules. Now the bag, serving as both a glove and a bag will be a wonderful conversation starter for making friends in that class you don't take with your friends. Add a laptop case for some extra protection for your irreplaceable items, some silver jewelry, and you are good to go.

Outfit 2.

For this look the colour of the cardigan is cream and purple, -*SIDE NOTE* I will be assuming the shirt-looking-things inside are a part of the cardigans, seems cooler that way- and I really wanted most of the focus to be on the cardigan since I feel the it has a loud personality.

So I went with a mini skirt, wait for it, and a pair boots that are made of leather and go all the way to the thighs, making up for the short length of the skirt and the cold. Pulling the whole look together is a leather bag that looks roughly similar to the quality of the leather the boots have. Throw in that cute laptop case for some added protection to your expensive laptop, add some Catholic-inspired jewelry, a pair of some 90s looking sunglasses and go strut the hallway to your 10am class.

Outfit 3.

Last but not least, the most colourful outfit of the bunch. Blue cardigan so I instantly reach for a pair blue denim pants, they are as loose and baggy as the cardigan and presents a certain flow, like the pants are a continuation of the cardigan. Of course give me a pair of baggy jeans and I will instinctively pair it with a pair of pointy-heeled shoes or a pair of “DAD-SNEAKERS.” But for the purpose of me “Having school in mind” I chose the pair of dad-sneakers.

Now you see that hint of orange on the sneakers that will kind of remind of you of the colour brown as you look at it more, yeah, with the help of that I chose the ultimate statement bag yet. I mean it’s literally a “BODY BAG!” which you're going to use to hold your very priceless textbooks.

Metallic silver accessories usually do the trick with outfits that do not have, if not any but much black pieces of clothing as a base. Which is why I added some rings of that make and yet another Catholic-inspired earrings and necklace. Finally slap on a pair of sunglasses because the sun does in fact badly affect your eyesight, and you don't want that because you have to sit at the back of the class cause you're running late from lunch with yourself.

That marks the end of this post. Let’s hope I update back in 2 weeks!

Till next time✌🏽.
