a few pictures that have inspired me lately
By inspired I mean these pictures have given me life by just simply coming across them. Looking at them more makes me want to look forward to the time when things will get better for me. They make me want to observe the present and see how I can make it work, so that my future is a lot more hopeful - if that makes sense. - Now why is this in “THE DAILY STYLISH CORNER” you might ask, well because it is things, or rather pictures like this that influence my personal style, irregardless of how uninspiring they might appear to you. I have come to accept that I find inspiration in the weirdest things and places, and if you do as well I hope you’re embracing it🙂.
PICTURE GOTTEN VIA TUMBLR. TITLED: VICTOR MEEUSSEN, PHOTO BY PHOTO, 1950 - 1970.
You might look at this picture and wonder how I can find inspiration in this, well I'll tell you. One, the fact that I can resonate with that expression on this little girl’s face, that sometimes I randomly get that expressionless look on my face, makes me feel a bit better that there are people out there who feel the same way I do, sometimes. Then there’s the picture itself which I believe was taken candidly because that emotion there can’t be forced, but candid or not I feel a calm fall upon me whenever I look at this picture.
PICTURE GOTTEN VIA TUMBLR. TITLED : MARK ARBEIT, ATELIER REAUMUR.
I’ve always been fascinated by nude portraits. I would love to have mine taken one day, by a highly notable photographer, and have it hung on the wall in my house. It will be very huge, and hopefully be one of my most prized possessions.
PICTURE GOTTEN VIA INSTAGRAM. TITLED : KATE MOSS FOR VIVIENNE WESTWOOD’S SPRING/SUMMER 1995 “EROTIC ZONES” COLLECTION.
From just looking at them, Vivienne Westwood’s creations get me inspired to feel punk and sensual while still looking like royalty. I can’t wait to physically feel like that when I wear one of her corset tops and corset dresses🙂. It will for sure be a new feel for me.

PICTURE GOTTEN VIA INSTAGRAM. TITLED : LOOK 7 OF CENTRAL SAINT MARTINS MA FASHION 2022 “SCULPTURAL SENSUALITY”. LONDON FASHION WEEK.
This collection blew my mind. I highly recommend that you take a look at the full collection. It inspires me to keep looking at fashion with a new pair of eyes every time.
PICTURE GOTTEN VIA INSTAGRAM. TITLED : SEOHYUN, STYLED BY IB KAMARA FOR DAZED MAGAZINE.
Editorial styling to me is like a creative outlet, the looks may not be practical enough to be worn a daily basis, but they sure create some kind of theatrical gesture. You let your imagination run wild and the looks you come up with speak volumes. I am forever inspired by the creative stylists behind every editorial look in fashion magazines.
I’m tired of writing, funny right, so just enjoy these last 4 pictures with little to no descriptions.
PICTURE GOTTEN VIA TUMBLR. TITLED : ERL FALL/WINTER 2022.
There is something dark about this bridal dress, and I resonate deeply with it.
PICTURE GOTTEN VIA TUMBLR. TITLED : NAOMI CAMPBELL IN NEW YORK CITY, PHOTOGRAPHED BY BRUCE WEBER, 1995.
PICTURE GOTTEN VIA INSTAGRAM. TITLED : CINDY KIMBERLY BY JACK BRIDGLAND, FOR EN ROUTE JEWELRY. STYLED BY SICAMODE.
FROM THIS PICTURE, I BELIEVE THIS IS WHAT LOVE LOOKS LIKE. AND RIHANNA WEARING THIS SIMONE ROCHA SPRING/SUMMER 2022 TULLE OVERLAY DRESS, JUST JUSTIFIES MY REASONS FOR MAKING HER MY ULTIMATE STYLE ICON.
