shadows of the soul at the gas station art centre.

the year is 2023, month is September and the day was Friday the 8th. there is an exhibition on view at the gas station art centre here in Winnipeg. It is titled Shadows of the soul: exploring the landscape of grief. I was present at the opening, which was marked with a reception, but the show is on from the 8th of September to the 29th of September, and then from November 3rd to December “unknown”.

I want to write a text, but I can't think of much besides this:

the exhibition to me explores one of the many ways we as human beings handle grief. This method is the art of holding on to that which is dear to you that you lost, but still keeping your head up and looking forward to the life ahead.
